2011 Sky Meadow Tournament Raises $65,000 for ALS Research!
We had our plans all in place to hold our annual golf tournament at Sky Meadow Country Club to support ALS research in August. However, it was not to be. For the first time in eleven years we were rained out! Luckily, we were able to re-schedule for Tuesday, October 11 and it turned out to be the perfect day for our event. A full complement of golfers participated and they seemed to enjoy the autumn weather and post-tournament dinner. We were delighted with the results as well.
We were able to raise $65,000 for ALS research, which brings us to over $2.3M raised to date. Our guest speaker at the Tournament was Dr. Merit Cudkowicz, Lead Clinical Trials Specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital in the field of ALS research. Her message about the current state of research was the most promising message we have ever heard. We are happy to help drive a portion of this research. We will direct all monies to the best and brightest ALS researchers in the field.
